Job Functions :

  • In charge of negotiating terms of purchasing with suppliers to achieve the best deal for the Company.
  • Maintain good relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers for future products.
  • Ensure delivery of products are on time and compliance with the contracts of purchase.
  • Monitor stock levels and make plans for buying within budget.
  • Discover and purchase new products and check the quality and popularity of those already on our shelves.
  • Analyze and plan for yearly promotional products and events as well as consumer buying patterns and predicting future trends.
  • React to any changes in customer demand.
  • Liaising with the Department Head and Store Manager to ensure supply meets demands.
  • Be resourceful for new products / festive products.
  • Any other ad-hoc task assigned by the Management.

Requirements :

  • Minimum 3 year(s) experience & knowledge as a retail buyer or relevant role.
  • Diploma / Degree in any field.
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel.
  • Willing to work extra hours and on public holidays.
  • Possesses good communication skill, negotiation skill, updated with market trend, leadership, display & merchandising skill.
  • Must be self-motivated, proactive, good interpersonal skill, able to multitask and work under pressure.
